Trail Song Verse 18: Pickup
Pickup and I have traveled together for hundreds of miles. He helped me get off trail in Marion and return in Glasgow when my knee was injured. He is never without a tube of Duke's mayonnaise to top off his lunch wraps.
Pickup is also a rare hiker who does not use trekking poles.
well this here's a story 'bout a hiker named Pickup
bounds from here to there faster than you can lift a stick up
wandered down that holler and what did he see?
just a creamy squirt of pleasure from the mayo berry tree
mayo berries mayo berries squeeze 'em in a wrap
be careful to keep mayo berry juice out of your lap
if i should not make it to the summit up in Maine
you will find me wrapping saucy by the mayo berry tree
